Stags love Aviemore
There is no place quite like Aviemore to hold your Stag do in. It has a "highland" feel about it the moment you arrive- laid back, quaint, stunning location in the cairngorm national park. It even smells different with the smoke from the wood fires and the resinous smell from the surrounding pine forests. You might get the impression that it is a sleepy town, but oh boy how wrong you will be. After dark this place goes crazy where bars and clubs are packed with people partying like there is no tomorrow.
- 2 night stay in Abernethy Bunkhouse- superb fun
- Exclusive use of the bunkhouse
- Quad Biking through the Ancient Pine Forests
- Clay Shooting on the edge of the Highland moors.
Part of the enjoyment of any Stag Weekend is being able to let your hair down. This Bunkhouse run by a local family offers the freedom to let your hair down a bit without a pesky hotel receptionist telling you to keep quite every 10 mins. It is self catering and has all the facilities that any group of lads might need. It is possible to organise beers from the local Cairngorm brewery to be waiting for you on your arrival- Now thats what I call - "Off to a good Start". It is situated only 15-20 mins out of Aviemore but is well worth the short journey. If you want an upgrade to your accommodation to chalet style or to a Hotel in the centre of Aviemore we can easily arrange that as well- Just give us a call.
So what is there to do in Aviemore at night?
This is not a city with hundreds of clubs and bars to choose from. It has almost everything on one street , but what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality and uniqueness. You could start at one end of the town and attempt to pub crawl your way through the main drag- but why bother when we have compiled our famous "Aviemore Bar & Club Guide" . Updated regulary it is the stag weekenders best friend and will guide you through the good, the bad and the "under no circumstances" venues
There is no point in coming all the way to Aviemore in the centre of the Scottish Highlands and NOT enjoying the outdoor activities. We have included the 2 best and most popular events- Quad Biking and Clay Shooting.
Aviemore is surrounded by remnants of the ancient Caledonian pine forests and it is through Pine Forest and across Highland moors that this quad biking event takes place. The backdrop of the snow covered Cairngorm mountains is simply stunning. It is not uncommon to see grazing deer, red squirels, black grouse and a whole host of other wildlife.
The quad biking starts with a safety chat- mainly so that we you get to the next activity in one piece! We've got your money by this point - so we really don't care if truth be known ha ha! These quads are pretty nippy and care is required not to prang them into a 300 year old Pine tree. If you do lose control- the tree will survive! The forest trails are great fun and all the lads will enjoy tye time outh.
Providing you are still in one piece after the quad biking, we have arranged for the lads to go to a proper clay shooting range on the outskirts of Aviemore. Even if you have shot a couple of times before, you will be impressed by the facilities. The instructors will give everyone full instruction and keep the lads safe at all times. Shooting normally takes place in a woodland or moorland setting with panoramic views of the nearby mountains. Shooting is just so exciting and even the novices will get a real buzz out of this. Inevitably bragging rights will be shot for with the winner claiing them for the rest of the weekend . the loser however will normally have to endure some hideous forfeit later on in the pub. Shooting is restricted to over 16's
