The best stag night activities in Bristol
Bristol offers one hell of a wild stag night, and down below I have for you the most popular stag night locations this great city has to offer. All of these places will show you a right good time, I can promise you that!
To kick things off I have Revolution! I have been to a tonne of clubs (for work of course – I do not have a drinking problem), and I can tell you that this is one of the largest I have ever been to. Jesus Christ, this place is freaking huge! There’s what seems like the world’s biggest dancefloor in the centre of the club, and then you have all these different areas to party in or maybe just relax for five minutes or maybe even to try and score with one of the local Bristol ladies! They have giant TV’s, crazy loud music and just an all-round awesome vibe. Oh, and you can also get on the guest list so you don’t have to try and sweet-talk a bouncer (or get your head kicked in by aforesaid bouncer)!
A main priority of any well respected stag night is letting the groom look at some sexy ladies and wonder why he is going to spend the rest of his life with the same woman.. I’m joking, married life is the best. You can do this at Temptations lap dancing club. Here they only hire the hottest ladies that Bristol (and other parts of the UK) has to offer. What really blew me away here was that this place does not pussy foot around, they offer fully nude dancing. Now that is what I’m talking about! You guys will love it here, I promise you that. If you want to make the night even more awesome then do not be cheap bastards and chip in and get the groom a private dance.
Jongleurs offer a fantastic night of comedy. On average you’re looking at three to four comedians on stage each night, with an MC to keep things flowing in between. I love a bit of stand up, and here they manage to attract some pretty big names. I always say that this is one of the best ways to start a stag night as it gets everyone in a good mood for when you hit all the different bars and clubs that Bristol has to offer. So if you love to laugh, I can assure you that you’ll have a great time here.
I’ve been on a few Ghost Walks in my time, but few kept me as hooked as the Haunted & Hidden Bristol Tour. I mean, sure – this was scary and the guide was amazing and really makes you feel uneasy – but this was actually also very informative and he was even giving us bits of trivia about horror movies and stuff like that. This was a fantastic experience and it made for a real talking point for a while once we all got home. This is a perfect stag night activity for guys who want to do more than just drink!
If you want a really cool and ‘big’nightclub experience, then you can get that at Pryzm. This is a really awesome nightclub that has three fairly large ‘mini clubs’ inside. As well as this, they also have a VIP area if you guys don’t want to mingle with all the common folk. Speaking of which, when you book here you can get you and all the rest of your mates on the guest list. Nothing beats walking past a bunch of losers in the queue and then just strolling in… because that is how you roll!
Have you watched enough films and crime shows to be able to find and stop a cold-blooded killer before he strikes again? Well if you think you have, then take part in a Murder mystery night! Man, this is awesome! The people behind this do such a great job of staying in character and setting things up that you really do buy into the whole thing. Hell, at one point I thought that I could be the killer! Solving clues, doing party games and asking the right questions will help you stop the son-of-a-bitch before they strike again!
Don’t worry, I have even more amazing Bristol stag night ideas!
So, we have looked at the most popular stag night ideas that are in Bristol. Now let’s have a look at a few more of my personal highlights!
First up I have something that may make you shake your head, but trust me it’s amazing: Laser Tag. Here at Laser Fusion they offer great nighttime deal where you get a game of laser tag, some food, drinks and an awesome time! You’re looking at about an hour and a half of mayhem and then you can hit the pubs and clubs. This is a really out-of-the-box way to start a stag night, but it’s a really fun one.
If you want a little bit of showmanship while you have a drink, then Illusions Magic Bar is for you. This place is crazy, and if I am honest, it’s a bar I found by accident. You see, here they have a pub where you can have a drink, chat, you know – the normal pub stuff. But then there is another part of this place… where there’s a live magic show. Maybe it was the drink, but this was amazing and I swear to you that this dude has to be some kind of actual wizard. Hours after, days after, hell even now I am wondering how he did some of the things that he did. If you find a normal bar boring then Illusions is a great place to come.
I know that there are some people whose idea of a nightmare is a club with dance music. Well don’t worry as I have for you guys The Vault. This is the best rock/alternative music club in the city. And as well as playing some awesome rock tunes, they also have live bands on here as well. Clubs like this are in short supply, which is a damn shame, but if you want to rock out during your Bristol stag night then this is where you need to be.
As I said at the start of this guide, Bristol has a great nightlife! And a huge part of that is its super club, The Syndicate. Epic is a term that has been way overused by geeks on the internet, but it’s the best way to describe this place. It’s huge, with what seems like a never ending run of different rooms and areas to go in. One other thing I want to mention is that the ladies here seem to go mental! So you single guys will be in luck. The Syndicate also has many theme nights on, such as retro nights and even calling in some celebrity DJ’s from time to time. No two nights here are ever the same!
Make sure you keep a note of this Bristol information (some of which is classified)
Your dinner fork goes on the left (a nice fancy meal)
Some of you may want to have a really nice slap-up meal, and Bristol has plenty of places to choose from. If you want to be really fancy then get all dolled up and head over to Casamia, who offer a fine dining experience with a very trendy and classy setting and an impressive, fancy gourmet menu.
Where’s the red sauce (eating cheap in Bristol)
There are tonnes of fish & chip shops and other cheap take away places in Bristol for you guys on a budget. But if you want to sit down to eat and get amazing value, then the ‘all you can eat’ buffet at Za Za Bazar will ensure your stomachs are full to soak up all the alcohol later in the night!
I need a taxi at 3am with a big boot
If you need a late night taxi then as Bristol is a party city, you will not have any trouble at all getting a taxi, no questioned asked. Bristol Taxi's and Prestige Cars offer a 24/7 service which is perfect for getting rid of that hooker in the early hours of the morning.
I drank the blue stuff under the sink (emergency room!)
I know that the shit can hit the fan on a stag weekend and you may need a wee visit to the emergency room. Well, Bristol has an unusually large number of places to get medical treatment. Do not take that as you are invincible and can do whatever you want though!
Where can a group of stags catch a live show
Bristol is home to a pretty vibrant music and arts scene, with many pubs and clubs having live bands on. Oddly though, Bristol does not have a large arena (just yet), so bigger named bands that do come through here will play at the O2 Academy.
A place with a more chilled-out vibe
If you want to do something a little different and be in a bar/club that is more relaxed, then The Big Chill is so laid back it’s practically on the floor. This is a really cool place to come and sit, listen to some funky jazz and have a few drinks with your mates. This is for you guys who want something a little slower paced (even just for an hour or so) during your Bristol stag night!
