London Stag Day Ideas
‘Ello mate, you ready for a bloody amazing, London stag do? Well if you are, I have quite the little guide for you fine gents. Look, you do not have to be Sheldon Cooper to realise that London is one of the biggest and best stag weekend locations in the whole of the UK. Everyone knows that London has one of the craziest party scenes in the whole of Europe, but today I’m sharing my ‘expertise’ on the stuff you guys can do during the day.

The most popular stag do daytime activities in London
I have been here many times, and I have never changed my opinion that London is a bit like its own country inside England. There’s a vibe here that you just don’t get anywhere else. No matter if you are in one of the 500 million places to eat or just a typical pub, London is a really cool place.
One thing that London has that nowhere else in the UK does, is the largest indoor go kart track. Capital Karts know how to make your London stag do very special, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. I will admit I am not the best driver, but the karts here – while pretty damned fast – are easy to control. And the track is bloody huge, so you really do feel like you’re racing in an actual F1 race… or a real life game of Mario Kart.
Next up I have the stag do classic, paintball. Let me tell you, I have played at a tonne of paintball locations all over the UK, but this place has the most maps/game scenarios of any paintball centre I have ever been to. Paintball is just so much fun! There is nothing better you can do (with your clothes on, I mean) than shooting your mate with a paintball gun and watching him wince. Powerful guns, badass safety gear and an all-round awesome time are what you get here.
Now, on its own, archery is already a pretty damn cool activity, but these guys have taken things to a whole new level with archery tag! Yes that’s right, you play tag, but with a bow and arrow! Obviously you don’t use actual arrows so don’t freak out (or get excited), but this is still crazy fun. I was actually blown away at how cool this was. As far as I know (and I know a hell of a lot), this is one of the few places in the UK that offers a game of archery tag.
One of the best ways to let off a wee bit of steam, have a fun time and get to hold something big and powerful, is with a round of clay pigeon shooting. This is a firm favourite with stag groups in London, as you get to use a really cool shotgun to blow the clay targets to smithereens. First you’ll be taught how to use the gun properly and safely, and then it’s time to show your mates that you’re the best damn shooter in the pack.
Here I have a way for you to relive your childhood, have a laugh and in general make a total ass of yourself, which is what a stag do is all about. The TV show It's A Knockout was one of those weird over-the-top assault course/mental activity style shows, and now it’s available for stag groups! Using actual props from the show, you boys will either compete against other groups or be split into teams between yourselves. This is just so much fun, but at the same time you will all actually want to win and be crowned the It’s A Knockout Champion!
If you want to have something really powerful between your legs for a change, then a quad biking trek is just ideal. Yes, London does have some more rural and outdoor areas… I have seen them with my own eyes. Quad biking is a great activity for a stag weekend as it’s something that everyone can do. Here they have pretty powerful 150cc quads that can really cover some ground. But this is not about speed. It’s about tackling tricky things like steep inclines, huge-ass potholes, and general crap in the way.
London stag do activities… with a twist
We have covered the most popular things you can do on a London stag weekend. Now let’s have a little look at the more weird and not quite as obvious stag do activities.
First up, I have something for you thrill-seekers, and guys who like to show off a little: it’s bungee jumping! This is a mental stag do activity and one that I am sure at least one of your group will chicken out from, and another one will die! Actually, having your mates there kind of makes this easier, as you can cheer each other on… or ridicule each other to the point where people will jump out of anger. But no matter what, once you take the plunge, you will get a huge buzz.
Another activity that will check your manhood (I passed, by the way) is rock climbing. Now, this is indoor rock climbing, and in my experience, people who are not too keen on heights are way more likely to give this a go than real rock climbing. This is much harder than it seems, and I’m sure a few of you will have a hard time, but reaching the top really does feel like an amazing achievement. After a few tries I’m sure you’ll be scaling the wall like you’re freaking Spiderman. Actually, dressing up for this makes it even cooler, so pick up a few superhero costumes and make this even more fun!
This is a London stag do, and that means you must all be drinking like crazy. Well, why not take your love for drinking and mix it in with a great day out? I’m talking about the awesome London Fields Brewery Tour. You see here, as well as learning and seeing how the tasty booze is made, they also have a taster session at the end. There’s simply no better way to get yourselves in the mood for a night of drinking than a tour here. The guys are all really cool as well, and will make sure that your tour is fun and not boring as hell.
I have saved the best for last, and this is something I can tell you – from recent personal experience – is amazing. Here you will be trained and then have to survive a zombie apocalypse. Yes, you read that right, my friends! You will get to handle different weapons, learn real survival techniques to fight off the undead, and then you will be given your extraction point where you have to run to and survive the hordes of zombies that are coming your way. Freaking awesome is the best way to describe this! And it’s actually practical, as let’s face it, any time now an actual zombie apocalypse could happen, and after a day here you will be well prepared.
A few tips to make your London stag do perfect
Where to have breakfast
After a hard night, you do not want to have to make your own damn breakfast! So head to the Breakfast Club Cafe. What I loved about this place was that I went in expecting just to have a good old fashioned English-style breakfast, but they also have American breakfasts here as well. Say what you want about Americans, but anyone who has pancakes for breakfast is cool in my book.
Best place for lunch
London has a tonne of places to eat, but I fell in love with the Dragon King Oriental Buffet. First of all, this place looks like it is a set from some old Kung-Fu film, but the food is also amazing, with an all-you-can-eat buffet perfect for recharging the batteries and getting ready for more fun stuff in the big smoke.
London taxis
Holy crap, do I hate driving in London. I did it once and I would rather die than do it again! Thankfully there are what seems like three taxis to every person in this city, so getting a taxi is never hard. A couple of the major companies that serve the whole city are Radio Taxis and London Taxis.
When to avoid London
Hmmm, this is a tough one. You see, London has stuff going on pretty much all the time, and it’s the most popular tourist destination in the whole of the UK, and one of the most popular in the world. So what I am saying is that no matter when you come here it’s going to be really busy, so there’s no specific time I would say to avoid booking a stag do here. Just remember that the hustle and bustle is all part of the London stag do experience.
Sporting events in London
Holy crap, where do I start? I cannot list all the sporting events that go down here, but there is of course Wimbledon for you tennis (and Cliff Richard) lovers, and football fans are spoilt for choice with the national stadium (Wembley), and at the time of writing there are five Premier League football teams based here. London plays home to American sport as well, with both the NBA and the NFL playing a few games here each season.
Festivals in London
It seems like any weirdo with a goatee can get a permit to host a festival in London these days. London always seems to have some kind of festival or event going on. One that is actually really cool is their jazz festival, which happens every year.
24-hour pharmacy in London
As I write this there is only one 24-hour pharmacy in London and that is Zafash Pharmacy. Hey, I know that during a wild London stag do a lot of crap can go down and you may need a pharmacy. While there is only one 24-hour pharmacy, London is also home to about 98 Asdas and 70 Tescos who offer late night pharmacy hours.
